Can't put more than 3 enchantments on Swords

I cant add more than three enchantments? I'm not sure if that vinilla minecraft or a plugin? Could someone help.

Depends on the enchantments already on there, you can defin. put more than 3 on there tho
For a sword you can atleast put:
Sharpness/Bane/Smite
Knockback
Fire aspect (2)
Unbreaking
Mending

thats five.
