Hiya there,

My suggestion, in conjunction with this improvement (https://www.mc-market.org/threads/250911/), is to split the hosting forum into two sub-forums.

Currently the hosting forum is a labyrinth of confusion as you, the buyer, aim to hunt for the hosting provider you believe will suit your needs. Unfortunately, due to the sheer amount of providers who may or may not be even providing a relevant service to what you want, you are left with hours spent on sorting through unnecessary hosts irrelevant to your criteria.

The two sub-forums I suggest adding to the hosting forum are :
  • Minecraft/Game Hosting
  • Web/VPS/Dedicated/etc.
(Perhaps better names for the sub-forum titles.)

I believe by splitting the hosting section in half with two entire sub-forums, buyers will be able to find what they want without going through unnecessary garbage. Say, for example, should I be searching for a VPS provider, I would not need to mindlessly waste time sorting through all the Minecraft only game server providers.

The only drawback I believe will be associated to this suggestion is the transition phase sorting out the current hosts into their relevant categories, and archiving the rest. However, should we able to get past that challenge, I believe we can provide a smoother, more comfortable experience for buyers to search for the relevant hosting providers they want. That, and possible difficulties integrating the above linked suggestion for the "verified" hosts.

I strongly agree with this suggestion, but one other drawback you would have from this is that many hosts that are in the market currently offer the game, web and dedicated hosting together and have all of this in one single thread. So it would be difficult for the hosts that want to post about there game and web hosting in one single thread.

Would you not believe there may be added benefit for providers with multiple services? Should they offer services in both categories, they can now have 2 threads, allowing for more exposure for their relevant services, whilst allowing them to customize their individual threads even more to better cater to their more specific audience.

Hmm, did not think it that way but you are right there would be a lot of benefits for hosts. I am sorry did not think it all the way through and just commented.

Ok then, How about we add it to each category :D
SETUPS
- Minecraft Setups
- Website Setups
- Discord Setups

CAPE ACCOUNTS
- 2011 Cape
- 2012 Cape
- 2013 Cape
- 2015 Cape
- 2016 Cape

GRAPHICS
- Illustration
- Graphics
- Mascot
- Vector

DEVELOPMENT
- Plugins
- Discord Bots
- Apps

Why do it to this category when it happens in every single category?
If you don't want your clients to be confused then just type in the title:
"GARBAGE HOSTING - WEBSITE HOSTING"

And what if there are hosts that provide both?

So far I had no problem finding what I needed.
You may need to scroll through 3 threads, but you will find it. Believe me.

Like, honestly I don't mind this happening, it wouldn't hurt. But it's just useless as hell to me.
Just my opinion.

I have to agree with this. I don't check the hosting section often but my recent impression was "what a mess of a section."
