Contact Details Revamp

Hey there,

First off- Every single contact detail should have an icon on your profile. Steam does but discord doesn't? This needs to be fixed.

Here are the contact details I'm suggesting:

Discord- Not your "#". A discord ID would be much better and help stop impersonations.
Steam- Self explanatory
Origin has always been on the list. I feel if origin is kept then epic games client should be added. :)()

Xbox live could be removed. I don't really see this. Doesn't affect anything that much. Though xbox has a icon on a profile and others don't. Same problem
(if xbox is kept so should ps4)

Twitch and YouTube should be added, same for DLive, Mixer and other streaming platforms.

Skype could be kept. It doesn't hurt. What could be added is other platforms that are used to be communicated on. Such as Gmail.

Twitter should be kept, Instragram can also be kept.

Some others can be kept. I just want this to get some love.

WEBSITES THAT ARE USED FOR GRAPHIC DESIGN CAN BE ADDED


I feel that they should be kept if important and stuff we don't need should be removed. And icons should be a big must.

That's fine then. The main part is cleaning it up and getting icons for everything.

The reason that some of the services have icons and others don't is because the services with icons were introduced as a part of the Gamer Profiles addon (https://xenforo.com/community/resources/gamer-profiles-pixelexit-com.3678/) that was added to the site a few years ago.

I wasn't managing the site at the time that addon was introduced, but my understanding is that it was added purely as a cosmetic feature for our Premium users to access. We've kept it for the past few years because we never saw a reason to remove it, but looking at it now I feel like it doesn't do anything except for contributing to clutter and provide useless information.

What are everyone's thoughts on us removing the gamer profiles addon, which would therefore remove the Steam, Origin, Xbox Live, PSN, Twitch, and League contact details? They're completely unnecessary on a platform like ours.

I would agree with that since this is mainly a marketplace and not a place to find someone to play a game with. It’s more unprofessional if anything. Also, not as many people use it anymore.

Through doing this I believe that it's resolved the initial issue outlined in the original post on this suggestion.
