Hello everyone,
Today I went to a College open even (Visit and check what goes on basically).
I went to have a look at a few Subject's such as...
  • Film & Production
  • Game Development
  • Photography
  • Travel
I personally went in on a mind set wanting to do Cinematography / Photography,
after I went in I was happy with my mind, my thoughts was saying Film & Production, but I decided to chose Game Development as I want to do it for a while and the practical and theory part off it doesn't seem to be that bad and seems interesting, and I've got more experience in Game Development and designing. But part off me still wants to do Cinematography (Film & Production)
If anyone's thinking off what they want to do, please let me know!

(Level 3 Game Development/Design I chose, I may apply for more than one course and wait to see what I think when I get a interview).

Photography & Film are a blast, would recommend.
Alot of Theory I was told by one off the staff member's, but when practical is involved it's amazing, also said not alot off opportunity's involved in the Location from where I am.

The thing is, no photographer or filmographer is in one area. I'm going to be graduating this year and pursuing a career in photography and creative and commercial cinematography. That stuff you're all over the country 24/7. I'll be renting a small apartment and downtown Brooklyn, not even a studio because I'll be traveling 24/7.
Awesome dude, cheer's for the information, I wish you the best in you're career, would love to know more so keep me updated, if you don't mind PMing me as I would love to discuss some stuff?

Sixth form, I dont want to go as me and Teacher's are not a good thing, my teacher's are shit lol, like i've learnt jack shit, only reason I've learn some is because my mum pays for a Tutor to come to my house every day but Sunday at 3 o'clock for 3 hours daily, so I don't want to go to my school again as we're the only Sixth form in my area.

A friend of mine did level 3 game development and said it was absolute garbage, apparently he didn't learn anything. I'd suggest Film and Production or Photography.

College is nice because you don't really have to 100% commit to something when you enroll. Just talk to your advisor and make it clear that you aren't 100% decided and are torn between different things. You can take all the classes you're interested in and experiment. Find what you like best, then make a commitment. You can switch majors fairly easily.

It's important to spend time experimenting to find out what you want to dedicate yourself to, since you'll likely end up doing that for most of your future life.

People can do whatever interests them. The world will always need cinematographers, photographers and game designers. Not everyone should go into something 'academic'. Getting a degree in something you don't enjoy or aren't actually interested in is one of the biggest mistakes you can make in life.

I choose Level 3 Film & Production, I'm not sure what I want to do when I leave school, i'm trying to build a Portfolio on Visual Effects and my career's adviser's nepthew came into the school and I had a meeting and he said it's amazing, but he would reccomend learning how to do it before college, so I'm sorta trying to learn Game Development, Visual effects as well as trying to complete course work for Graphics, Creative Media ect.
