Greetings MC-Market, my name is Kai and I'm the founder of DediFire.

Early last month we finally launched our game servers. We decided it was best to start out small, so we're currently offering Garry's Mod, Team Fortress 2, and of course, Minecraft.

I'm extremely proud of the work my staff team is doing to perfect the company, but as we are all biased, we can't point out and fix all of the flaws. This is where you guys come in.

If you have a few spare minutes today, I'd really appreciate it if you'd check out our website and criticize it. Everything from our design to our services. We really want to see what attracts people, as well as what turns them away. Feel free to list both positives and negatives, but we're mostly interested in seeing what we can change and improve!

Although we are a new company, I don't want to use that as an excuse. Feel free to compare us to the top competitors and show no mercy when picking us apart, it won't hurt my feelings.

Thanks everyone,
Kai Micah Mills

Probably not a smart idea to mention who your provider is, since users can easily google them and use them directly instead of dealing with a middle man. Not to mention they're then able to see what you're paying and how much profit you intend to make off of them.

Prices on your providers webpage are less then 50% then what you list them for, probably bad for business. Also shows exactly how over priced your servers are. Although I thank you, since I was looking for a new host.

So I'd recommend removing your providers information/name, and significantly lowering your prices.

I would like to know before calling you "Overpriced" who do you resell? What kind of DDOS protection do you offer? What are the locations you have to pick from? How long have you guys been around? Yes I would agree $8 isn't the best price but if it was $4-$6 I would gladly pay that is the support and servers are good enough.
Hey Nimmy.

Looks like you're referring to our Minecraft servers, as our dedicated servers are a different story of course. We rent our machines from SoYouStart, and the specs are listed on the Game Servers/Minecraft pages. Since SoYouStart servers are in OVH data centers, you can view their DDoS protection here - https://www.ovh.com/us/news/articles/a1171.protection-anti-ddos-service-standard

We currently only have our North America location (Canada) as we are new, but we absolutely plan on expanding as soon as possible.

As Jamie said, thank you for the feedback everyone. Keep it coming! ;)

Hey, thanks for the recommendation.

We rent our game servers from SoYouStart, but our dedicated servers are completely different. We sell enterprise level servers from one of the fastest growing data centers in the world, with deals that you can't get directly from them. We do not disclose who they are.

Why don't you use your data center servers for minecraft too? Also judging by the hosting you are reselling you are over charging. You could easily do $3-$4 a GB and still make profit.

Our data center provides enterprise level servers which we do not need for game hosting; DediFire has always been meant to sell top of the line machines and servers, not cheap services. We want to forge DediFire into a community where contests, gaming tournaments, giveaways and more can happen within our client base, and purchasing a server with us will come with plenty of extra features in the near future.

Lol. This won't last week. 8gb is way too high... 5 may work. Instead of paying employees.. Give them a server?

Not overpriced at all in my opinion. Looks like people on this thread blindly looked at the price of the server without even seeing what you get for it.

Underpriced if anything. If they want a crap server let them get a crap server.[DOUBLEPOST=1462651461][/DOUBLEPOST]If someone can find dedicated / game servers with those specs, DDoS Protection, and with live chat customer support for a lower price, then I'll consider it overpriced.

$8/Gb not over priced at all xD
If you're buying from a barebones joke of a server then $8 is too much. But don't be surprised when it goes offline every 20 minutes because 5 people joined the server. If I wanted the cheapest server on the market I'd go with a host like OVH for dedicated and some game server host like MCProHosting. But I know that every player is 100MB of memory each and a small barebones server can't even handle that. That's my opinion on the matter.

To be fair, majority of the popular Minecraft hosting companies are more expensive than we are, but they are given a pass because they have plenty of customers already. I appreciate the feedback, and honestly the "overpriced" spam was exactly what I was expecting, as that is just what happens on MC-Market. Was definitely hoping for some more useful feedback though.

I'm a website developer on the side. It costs me $15/month to keep the site running where I display my portfolio. I could charge $16 for a full website and be making money, of course. But that doesn't account for the hours I put in working and the beautiful final product. We charge what we charge based on many factors, and the fully custom website that you see on DediFire should be a good example of the work we put in every single day.

I totally understand your point, but please try to see it from our point of view as well. We're trying to develop a company with much more than just Minecraft, and move into hosting eSports events and tournaments as well before too long. We cannot accomplish what we want to by scraping a few pennies off every server, but we also do not just "overprice" our servers without cause.
