I wanted to delete a post I made, which the user locked the thread after I responded.

My suggestion is to.
Make it so we can delete messages after threads are locked, or edit messages.

Locked/Closed are all the same thing.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

If a user locked a thread after you responded, there's a 90% chance you trashed his thread. You shouldn't be able to remove the reason the thread was locked, especially so other can see why it was locked.

Locked/Closed are all the same thing.
No, they're not. They're not even close. Sure, after a thread becomes locked or closed, replies are disabled on the thread, but the meanings are completely different.

Closing a thread means deleting it forever, there would be no way to get it back. This would be used, for instance, if you're selling an account and (after it was sold) close the thread.

If you lock a thread, you can still view the replies. I've personally locked a thread so I can go unlock it later on whenever I feel like doing commissions again for discord setups.

There's obviously a reason why both the ability to lock and close a thread exist, there really isn't any need to edit them further as of now.

No reason not to add this. Let users have control over their own privacy and content.

Just because someone chose to lock their thread for whatever reason (the reason Blaze provides above is a bit too presumptive) shouldn't automatically waive one's post deleting privileges.

I think that this is pretty reasonable, this seems more like a quirk in our permissions than an intentional thing we added because I can't think of any good reason for it at the moment.

I'll move this to pending to look into more. If anyone has an idea of a logical reason why it's set up the way that it is please let me know.
