Hey,
My name is Mat, I'm decently new to these forums, and within a week I have done two seperate projects for people, however both times they have "not had the funds" for my work, even though it was agreed previously, so I'm currently sitting on a horse ownership plugin, and a fully configurable inventory "quick sell" plugin for a prison server with no pay, I have a website that's still in development http://www.fordevelopment.co.uk

I'd like some feedback from other experienced developers on this site, and how they handle their customers, as I really don't feel like doing more work for nothing. any sort of advice would be helpful.

Thanks
-Yewy

You might want to fix the vertical (y) scrollbar by adding this to:
HTML:
<style>
body {
  overflow-x: hidden;
<style>

Thanks

Any tips on dealing with people on this site?

Well, yeah I guess so:

Tip #1:
Once getting a high amount of reputation (not meaning ratings) I meant services given to the users of this site with no scam preferences at all, you'll be able to change your payment ideals of getting plugins created etc, such as paying 25% upfront

Tip #2:
Do not give up, many people here are ruthless, such as madman_h himself, he tends to shit post every time and ruins your time on MC-Market, but do not give up from these kinds of thoughts

Tip #3:
Always make a great introduction before you meet everyone else, like I said, just make a simple introduction and you'll be good to meet everyone else once some have said "Hello" to you in your introduction

Tip #4:
Be patient about what you do, you can't just keep bumping your threads every 1 hour because no one is using your service, you got to wait for them to come to you, so the tip of this is, just bump every 24 hours

Tip #5:
Be a cool person, everyone likes those kinds of users, but not everyone so watch out, but be specific about yourself first, what do you want to be in these forums? How do you think they would appreciate you? Answer these questions to yourself and you'll be good to go :)

Basically exactly what I wanted:) thanks for the advice, I don't have an introduction thread yet, I'll get to designing one as I've seen others.

How would you advise me on getting rep? create an introduction thread and then do vouch copies for people?

Well, as for getting reputation, I suggest you create your service thread then giveaway vouch copies to users with more than 750+ ratings

Okay, shall start on it today:) thanks for the advice.

Best bet is to give out free vouch copys to high reputation users by making them a free pluging and in return if its good they give you a vouch.

Also have a solid portfolio. Maybe do vouch copies up to you though.
