t's just to much. If I got a big investment, or an investor who wanted to invest in just the website I would.
Xenforo has always been the "If you have money, get it" solution.
I first started using Xenforo around 2yrs ago, it's been pretty good.

I paid for the original license (About ~$160), and since then my license has expired.

However you won't get any support, or upgrades without it.

So when Xenforo 4 comes out, if I want to get it, I'd have to renew my license.
I haven't renewed thus far because their support isn't really needed for me at this point.

It is useful to use their support if you're new to setting it up though.

With Xenforo I can get plugins that don't let my players make an acct unless it's a real MC acct.
Tie accts in game with their forum accts.
Force players to use their MC avatar as their forums avatar.
and well a whole bunch of other things...

Definitely recommend if you have the funds.

idk if you've already decided or not, just putting in my 2 cents on it.

Edit: Keep in mind, that Xenforo plugins are also not free, they average from $5-$25. I'm not sure how Enjin works (actually never used it) but with Xenforo I've definitely put in about $250 just on the license, and plugins.

Yeah don't rush it if you can't afford it.

Enjin is nice, it does the job, and it does it at an effective cost, so there's nothing wrong with it.
Not sure on your playerbase size, but you may be able to encourage players to help you with it.

Point out the pros and cons of going to Xenforo, explain how much it will honestly cost, and explain that it needs funding if the players want to switch.
You could even make a package on Buycraft called 'Xenforo Funding' where the players can enter any price they want to put into the piggy bank.
Keep that money aside for that purpose though, save it for that and don't spend it on something else.

I personally, would be a lot more inclined to give/spend money on something that I knew would benefit the server, not just pad a pocket.
So make it clear what you intend to spend it on, exactly how much it will cost, even show them the evidence of bills if you need to, they'll appreciate knowing their money was actually put to what they were told it was going to.

Just an idea.
My server isn't made yet. The investment post is in my signature
