Why is it taking longer than 48 hours for my domain to Propagate around the world? I have triple checked my records.

Depends who the domain is registered with and it might not be a domain propagation problem. It could be to do with firewall/port forwarding settings or due to many other factors if self-hosted.

you can't selfhost a domain, and it doesn't really change the fact that it isn't pointing to the IP

a icmp request should still reflect the IP

The domain works for very few players.
