This rule needs to start being enforced
(Supply an end date to auctions)
I’ve seen countless threads that don’t supply an end date and say when I get a good enough or when I receive bid over x amount of money

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

There's not a single seller here that would be happy with being forced to provide an end date, and then getting one lowball offer by the time it ends. Nor getting an offer from someone who seems sketchy and they don't feel comfortable dealing with.
There's no reason why we should force them to sell at that point either. That's ridiculous. It's their property.
If we don't enforce that they sell it, then what's the point in enforcing the end date?

Personally, I dislike the lack of freedom that rule gives sellers, and would prefer if be removed; or edited to "If an auction end date is provided, the date must be reasonable", however, this edit seems rather pointless as well.

Which is why I'd rather we increase freedom for sellers and lesson the responsibility put on bidders for paying within a period of time in order to ensure nobody's getting an unfair end of the stick.

I know but then it gets old when you bid on something then 3 months later, nothing happens with it. It’s also what a starting bid is for. I get that it’s their item but then they should just pull it from being sold[DOUBLEPOST=1531345913][/DOUBLEPOST]

And if it’s not enforced, might as well just remove it

Ya prob want to know why I disagree, just want to say that I my reason was explained by Justis very well.

Id rather like people saying "Bidding ends when I get an offer I like" for example.

Sounds good to me.

I'll move this to pending.

This has already been implemented, we just never got around to marking this suggestion as accepted.

Thank you very much for the suggestion! I'll move the thread now.
