As I'm sure Mick understood the backlash this announcement would cause, I don't really have a reason to believe that he will revert the change based on a community poll. I understand the reasoning behind this change; however, I think the process could benefit from the two modifications to the implementation of this change.
- Extend the deadline for the reputation removal - 2 weeks seems a bit too short for many of the members to do what is expected of them to do, which is contacting each seller/buyer to update their reputation. I feel the whole process has no reason to be rushed and could benefit from a more lenient timeframe.
- Encourage each user to update their reputation - I don't think it's entirely reasonable to tell everyone to contact each person to get their reputation updated. There should be some sort of a nudge to each member to encourage them to update any reputations they have left previously over to the new system.
