so this is my first time making a motion graphic video, and using after effects in general so please give me your feedback

Hey, I think that it definitely has the potential. I prefer the second one just because it looks cleaner. Black and white usually works for these. I'd stick to that kind of style, but it's all up to you of course.

The animations are quite pretty, although the sounds choice could be improved.
Sounds are too harsh and loud, for this style of animation I believe they should be much softer.
