Hello, today i will be showing you the website i created for MCHeads.
MCHeads is a tool that extracts your skin off Mojang's servers and does whatever you request it to do:

Which will give a 180x180 image of my face.

Example with customizable size:

[size varies from 1 to 300]

You can "browse" user's skin with

Notes:
*Some services may reqire a file extention on attachment and because of this all of the features will work if you add a .png to the end, with the exception of direct skin switch, download and skin.

*All features are not case sensitive

Do you think its good? Do you think that opensource adds up to it? Then please go and use it, and stop smamming my thread about how unoriginal and useless my website is.

PS. Opensourcing is totaly up to me and i dont want to open source, deal with it and stop bitching about it.[DOUBLEPOST=1414667438,1414667249][/DOUBLEPOST]

Suggestions:

- Add a rotating GIF of the user's skin. (Not sure how complicated it is, it shouldn't be that hard though).
- Add 3D heads w/ and w/out helms.
- Add 3D Character skins.

Anyhow, I wish you luck on this, it does seem like a great alternative to other places, and if you have the above I am sure
you will be a lot better than other sites!

Those suggestions sound awesome! Unfortunetly i cant do all the things you suggested because 3d rendering is very limited to non-existant in PHP (don't quote me on that) but thank you very much anyway!

You pretty much just ripped off other sites, nothing special.

How can you be so sure that he ripped off other sites? The other site creators could have ripped it of his website as well, so don't say things you don't know for sure. mc heads have alot of more features that the other sites as well, so it isnt just ripped of other sites.

Heh, ironic. If you're going to be patronizing, at least be correct in your information. You're talking about something called a Whois record. Not nebulous "analytics": it in no way represents any kind of analytical data, it's simply a record of ownership.

Those include the helm of the user in a 3D view. I'm sure the same thing is possible with full skins.

I have already talked to the creator of this website before, he used a completley different programming language to create this and it's also not opensource, i kind of have something premade in php but its early beta, looks crappy ill try to do something with it and if it works i might just release it...

I made some more speed optimizations, not something too serious, but definetly something that could help if lots of avatars are requested simultaniously.

What do you think about the cache times? each avatar is cached for 4 hours and after that it refreshes on request. do you think i should decrease or increase the cache times?

just did more speed improvements, also reset the caches, MCHeads should perform a lil' bit fater.
