TL;DR: it is impossible to do this correctly without a multi-channel audio file. There are ways to reduce the vocals, but the vocals will still be present, and the more they are reduced, the lower the resulting sound quality will be.

One of the easiest but deprecated methods to do that is actually to get a male-male aux cable. Plug one end to the output of the computer and put the other to the input of it. Then just slightly pull the jack to move it a bit out of the input/output port (it still needs to be in it). That way most of the frequencies and channels where the sound is located will be removed. That is actually exactly what happens if you accidentally pull out your headphones a bit or manage to break the jack of the headphones due to the bad making quality.
