Help on What I should Do

So....
Basically, I'm kinda stuck with advertisements. I have $500, and every youtuber I can get in contact with already advertises alot so his fanbase jumps alot so they probably won't stay. (Or I don't know about GhostGamingYT. Is he worth it? I went on some servers that he played on and asked if anyone else came from Ghost and... yeah... everyone pretty much ignored me and kept talking. I mean, if you were from Ghost, you would have said something right? So that's pretty much an impression of what Ghost will help my server on. Or is he worth it? Tell me :DDD) And a .org slot kinda sucks IMO, since I rented for an hour at Halloween night and that was basically a huge waste of money, so that's basically stopped me from ever using a .org slot ever again. Or for at least a month. idk. So, anyways, my friend just popped an idea out later last night; why not just buy a small server for 500, and merge with yours? I think it's a decent idea, but again, I've never done this, so will this be worth it? Or will most of the old playerbase leave? Reply back of what you think of this or if you know any good effective advertising I could get for 500. Thanks!

EDIT: My server is a factions server. I know, it's generic, but I'm adding some cool stuff to it, so no worries there. ;3

Youtubers are the only way now a days I believe. Do not buy a server/merge a server with anyone because that's just a waste of money on something you can yourself, and if you merge that means you'll get into arguments etc. and also donations will be half of what you would usually get. I would suggest going with a tonne of small time you tubers (50+K subs) and see how that goes for you. This means that they won't get a tonne of other servers to advertise, and they're also quite cheap. Hope this helped.

How about buying the server, and THEN merging? And the youtubers I've met are ridiculous, 5k vid for around 300. Or do you have anyone good?

Do not merge with any servers.

You obviously want to grow a server by yourself, if you'd really need help, buy advertisements from minecraftservers.org

I used .org on Halloween, big waste IMO.
