First suggesting after Mick rose to power. Anyhow ill get straight to the point.

The forum has been up, down, slow, plain broken and spamming error messages for the past day and a half now. According to what has been said the team of 10 people moving the forum have failed, and we cant just wait until they finally stumble upon the right YouTube video to show them get the webserver working how it should.

You might say its quite complex moving a forum like this, but it took BeBosny an hour and a half? Not a day and a half and still counting.

As far as I see it there are 3 options:

1. Pay BeBosny to do it. I know Mick seems to think he will sabotage, but lets be honest, he likely could anyway. I know if I was in his situation I would have taken certain measures t retain access even if something like this was to happen.

2. Pay an onsite system admin. I've seen two people offer, 1 of which I know, knows what he's talking about. Even though I don't always agree with him.

3. Find another company. Cut your losses with the existing one, the longer the forum is down the more money you are loosing anyway. Deal with the other company later and get someone else to sort it.

Mick prove you can be the owner, we all hope you can be, and sort this.

If I'm not mistaken Mick's dad hired this(ese?) system admin(s?). And well;

they know a lot about infrastructure, forums aren’t their focus.

The site's still buggy, but just dumping a sys admin your dad got is rude. But all in all, I agree. Site needs some work and someone capable of doing this work. I'm not sure how hard it is, but I think something needs to be done soon. There's alot of hate around Mick, and alot of pressure.

I'm sure he'll get round to it. Just let it be.

Personally if I was hiring someone to move my forum, I would pick a company that did specialise or at least have some experience in this field.

I also think if the transition had been a lot less smoother, a lot of us still wouldn't be happy with Mick, but it wouldn't be quite as bad as it is now. The longer its left, the more new members we loose, and the less likely existing ones are to purchase account upgrades. If MCM really does make $3k - 5k a month, then this down time will have cost at least 1k in losses, if not nearer two. I know personally I have been thinking about supreme and a name colour for a little while, but wont buy anything now, until everything has settled down.

He has no idea what the hell hes doing. The site was down for almost an hour last night.

The site was down as we received a pretty intensive attack. Since then we have implemented some auto detection and blocking rules that should stop any further flooding.

BeBosny used cloudflare to protect the site and in all his time as owner it didnt go down. Might be worth looking into doing the same.

You think I was there 24 hours/day waiting for someone to DDoS us? Of course not.

Any decent website owner gets a notification as soon as the site has decreased loading times. I had a automated phone call sent to me if the site had a bad Apdex for more than 3 minutes. I always have my laptop with me so it was just a matter of taking it out and mitigating the attack. This also happened when I was sleeping or something like that. I guess it's just a matter of dedicated because according to you it's Lemon tree > MC-Market.

I'm quite sure your questionable system admins wouldn't be capable of doing it. Just like they made the questionable decision of not using Cloudflare and Blockscript.

We did get attacked. I was just able to mitigate attacks or they usually didn't get through Cloudflare.
