I have a suggestion that would benefit Mc-Market greatly.

There should be a new staff team that knows what they are doing. There should also be more staff, so it doesn't take a long time to get the support you need right away. I'm not the only one that could agree some staff members don't know what they are doing, and clearly are not fit for their position.

And no, I'm not saying this because I want staff, because I don't.

I have an example, KentDMC made a scam report on my behalf against someone, and the person reported messaged M6Gaming and told him we are solving this ourselves, and M6Gaming closed the scam report without discussing this with me or Kent to see if it was true.

That's not the reason I'm making this suggestion, there are more.

I don't think that calls for a new staff team, rather the current one be improved. Personally, I found nothing wrong with them, so I have no complaints however it isn't the same for others. I'm sure the staff can improve on simple situations like that, no need to replace them. It'd also be harder to train new staff about all the ropes, than just teach the current staff to deal with situations better.

Agreed, they should be taught to deal with situations better. However, trusted users on this forum should become Mods, I don't think we currently have enough.

Richest Doge both definitely quality to be mods.

Problem with that is that popular users tend to be more biased, and have been in the community for a long time. Though they would be great, they may be more lenient towards the close friendships they've connected on these forums, or their "friends" would start to dislike them after they get powers.

Also I believe Doge is already staff?

That is true. Also, Doge is staff, but he is a chat mod (shoutbox mod). I believe he would make a good Moderator though, he's been around here for a long time and seems to know what he is doing.

Most staff members are quite fresh and are still picking up knowledge on how to deal with certain situations. They will learn from their mistakes.

With this big of a site, there should not be any "Mistakes"

Everyone makes mistakes. Even the biggest enterprise companies. Literally everyone. Mistakes are human. Humans learn from mistakes.

These kinds of threads just discourage current staff members. I'm personally a staff member on a prison server with around 1900+ players daily and there are some posts like these. I mean it's nice to point out imperfections but you don't need to bash on the staff member as we're/they're only humans.

"this big of a website". I don't know what some of you are thinking, but this site is not a giant company. It definitely doesn't have the budget to put staff through extensive training before they take up their position. Like with most server staff nowadays (excepting founding staff), its learn as you go. so far, things have been improving a lot.
I don't know about you guys, but the scam reports section has been brought down to less than 1 full page of open reports.

I think 14 members of staff is already overkill for a website of this size.

I mean yes, MC-Market is a large, complex website. But every human makes mistakes, it's just like for a minecraft server, they still need to learn more about the basics and background of MC-Market, the MC-Market staff need to take their time and not rush it, cuase then, it can effect the whole server and it will be you to blame for rushing them, leave them be and let them do it themselves.

Majority being chat moderators. They are considered staff yes, however they can do very little.

I could help with chat, but when there is openings available.[DOUBLEPOST=1456012964,1456011331][/DOUBLEPOST]
I feel very confident to get a job here, I feel as I could be a moderator or, a chat moderator.
Just coming out of experience here, asking for staff decreases your chance of actually getting it. It gives you a bad image. Trust me.

I believe there's even a rule that anyone who asks for it definitely doesn't get it, period. not sure if its in writing, but its in practice.
