OK, So I kinda need help with a keyboard that I ordered from a company and don't really know what to expect or proceed through this. In the UK.

So I bought a keyboard from a company that emailed me emails about the process of my order. It went from:
Order placed > Payment authorised > Order picked > Order dispatched.

All went clear, etc.

I paid through PayPal.

Just got a text message from PayPal saying that my card issuer declined the payment (despite it having the check "payment authorised" at the top of my order and it being dispatched.) Apparently PayPal issued it to my old card that I claimed lost around a month and a half ago and not my new card, despite setting up my new card on PayPal and removing my old one.

I highly doubt it since technically now I haven't paid for it, but I was wondering if you guys thought I might still get the item without being charged considering their own system says that my card went through? I'm confused on the whole matter.

The only thing you can do is wait. You can also contact PayPals Customer Support.

I plan to at some point, I was going to do it directly to the company I ordered from, but if I'm going to get it without being charged I didn't want to hint on if I wasn't charged, if it's marked as payment received.

If I don't receive it by Tuesday I'll be contacting their support & PayPal's. Thanks :)

No, what happens is Amazon only charges you right before the order is shipped, not at checkout. Hence, you were not declined until right before the order was about to ship.

It's not from Amazon, but if other companies have adopted this policy/system then it doesn't look like I'm going to get it considering the denial.

Still strange though, on their system they've authorised it (the payment through PayPal), and PayPal coming back saying that they haven't because old card. Company is Scan.co.uk.

I know right?

What's weirder is that the charge is £80, where I paid 115 for it... I literally have my old card with me, so it can't have been anyone else using my account, and my account is secure with no pending transactions other than what I've paid through other companies (Amazon, £20 worth of stuff), so it MUST be the keyboard.

So I have no idea. I have the money literally in the bank, they only tried to take £80 from my old card, and the delivery system is exported to a company called DPD, and it's waiting for my item to be set for delivery. So they've already processed the (supposed) payment & just needing to be dropped off.

Like wut.

Oh and PayPal has a transaction to Scan Computers, and hasn't took any money from my bank account. So I'm sitting here like wtf is going on. The authorisation is confirmed by by PayPal to Scan, funding source was denied but Scan says they got the money.

Like wut.*2[DOUBLEPOST=1592154843][/DOUBLEPOST]It's definitely coming, tracking has been updated to show that it's on the way to my local depot. If they've updated a system that is like Amazon, where they don't charge until it's been delivered, Amazon still authorises payments with the bank and charges (although it's under "pending payments"). In this case, the company (Scan) hasn't got any transactions in my bank statement or on PayPal.

I'm starting to believe I'm getting this keyboard for free. So that's sweet. Still not expecting it for free, but it sounds like I am.
