im stuck between 2 phones

Hey, I'm stuck between these two phones

Samsung Galaxy A51 5G or Samsung Galaxy A71

I'm not the best when it comes to phones, but they both look nice and have come out pretty recently. And the pricing is decent. What are your opinions on this. (Im from the UK BTW)

Or, if you have any better phones in the similar price range (from any carrier) please let me know

I've used SMARTY and Three, (for Three) good customer service but God awful product service. SMARTY (uses the Three network) sucks so badly.

Three in general just sucks, I use them now and can barely get signal outside let alone inside.

Honestly, Ive had Samsung for over 6 years now (Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime -> S3 -> S5 -> S7 -> S9)
And literally none of these have survived for too long, battery wise.

I had to buy two S5 batteries cuz one died really fast, the main battery died in a year or so.
Had to buy one battery for the S7, after a year it became really bad and it's just draining power while idle.
Same issue with S9, currently I have it for two years and since last year the battery has just been going down while the phone is idle. If I charge my phone in the morning and don't even use it for the whole day, it ends up at like 20% in the evening.

Normally I would never support Apple, but at this point it's cheaper overall to just buy the Iphone 12 (pretty sure Iphone 12 mini is also coming out) you would be down like $700, but you will be able to use it for far longer than Samsung and it is way easier to use, has way more support (app support etc.) and you can flex with it of course.

But you might be cheaper with Samsung, probably will but it's far less exciting and it's less enjoyable cuz of battery, unless I'm just unlucky af with the batteries idk

Yeah I've been watching some reviews, and it looks bloody beautiful.

The iPhone SE 2020 is okay. But I will be frank - it just looks old. I know it is super flippin fast - one of the fastest phones on the market - but its design is well... dated so to say. Thanks for your advice tho appreciated

I would get the A71 it is basically the same as the A51 just I believe a few better specs. I have actually got to use both of these before so between these 2 get the A71.

It isn't specified in the A71 post whether it is the 6GB or 8GB edition. So I assume it is the 6GB one. Both the A51 and the A71 in this case would have 6GB RAM[=]
A71 has a slightly bigger screen so screen shouldn't be a depending factor[=]
A71 Has a significantly better Camera. Both use the same Camera app. [+]
Processor is nearly equal in performance. {=}
A71 has a way bigger battery capacity.{+]
A71 Weights 7 grams more. {+/-]

Objectively the A71 is better. For an equal price you should definitely make this your choice. It does break easier from a fall though, so choose a good case. Both phones are not worth repairing when broken.

Buying a phone directly from a company is always cheaper, such as the oneplus Nord. Xiaomi, etc. But idk how this works in the UK


If you go for the subsciption you'd be going for 13,50 pounds/month for 45GB data, unlimited minutes and messages.
Vodaphone UK has unlimited Data for around 22/month.
Or 15GB Data/month for 10/month, if you dont think you're gonna use all that Data.

Yeah, I get what you mean about buying from the phone maker. For example Three a UK phone company is charging over 3x for the oneplus Nord, whilst of I buy from Oneplus it's 100$ for 3 months at 0% interest.
