Over the past week(s) Instagram has been doing a banwave. They do one every year, but this has been the largest so far. Nobody is 100% sure what causes an Instagram to be banned, as many accounts that have never touched the com have also been banned. What I've heard is that all Instagrams that have been claimed via an autoclaimer or a turbo will be banned eventually, but a good amount of swapped @'s still haven't been banned.
You can disable your account, but some have been reactivated and banned. There isn't any real way to protect yourself besides removing any evidence that your Instagram has been resold (although I doubt Instagram will check this forum while they are making their list). There is, however, a possibility of getting your Instagram unbanned. I have a contact who can help you with this. Keep in mind that it is more likely to get a stat (non OG) back.
Note: They are doing device bans, which means that if one of your accounts is banned, all of the accounts on your device will be banned. I am unsure if this includes all accounts that have ever logged into your device, or just the currently logged in ones.
