Job Summary
Welcome to Legend Land, the world’s first Minecraft Therapy server. Legend Land is a private server that used to facilitate therapy for people in rural and remote communities with Autism. We have created a series of min games that each teach a different therapeutic concept and have a great team that include a clinical psychologist that specialises in Autism, a game builder and a game developer and are looking for someone to join our team.
HealthTimes magazine recently completed an article on Legend Land titled ‘Breakthrough Therapy uses Minecraft to empower children with ASD’.
Minimum Requirements:
· 8 months commercial Java experience (learning not included).
· 8 months experience with Bukkit API / Spigot API / ETC.
· Age 18 or older.
· Able to sign an NDA & Contractor agreement.
· Able to commit at least 7 hours a week. You will be able to work additional hours and can adjust on a weekly basis.
Desirable Traits
· Ability to write high performance, quality java code which adheres to modern Java 8 conventions.
· Experience with net.minecraft.server.
· Experience with BungeeCord and Maven.
· Experience with HikariCP and connection pools.
· Real life/professional experience.
· Experience in developing minigames.
· Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skill.
· Self-directed and takes initiative to drive progress
· Good attitude and willing to have fun.
· BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience is highly regarded.
