My suggestion is to allow those who do not have access to dark theme to be able to preview their thread in dark mode. This will help those who do not have access to dark theme be able to put colors in their thread that go with both dark and light theme.

When you click "Preview..." a pop-up will open asking if the person wants to preview in dark mode or preview in light mode so they can test the colors on both themes.

90% of the active members are premium or above but yea, this is still something that should be added.

Another possible option could be having a "View Raw Text" feature. This can remove the formatting set with BBCode but I think if it just removes the color formatting rather than all of it would be better. Thinking about it, the feature wouldn't even have to remove the BBcode color tag but rather can force the color property on the span tags in the message container to none. This can be done with a couple of lines of JavaScript.

I think it'll feel off with someone viewing the site on light theme but having a dark theme palette, which is why I suggested an alternative option. This would keep the consistency with the two different themes, whilst also providing the ability to properly view the thread.

One reason I can see this being denied is that you can contact the OP about the color issue, which I agree with. You should contact the OP that some people may not be able to properly view the thread due to their color choice(s). It would be smart of the OP to correct it, especially if they are trying to sell a product/service.

In the end, I think having the option would be beneficial.

I see this as such a minor and niche issue that doesn't warrant any custom development to fix. As Kuchy has said, if the author has formatted their thread in a poor way the best thing would be to let them know.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion
