Limit the number of resource reviews a user can post per update

I know this won't apply to most users but it's very simple, set a hard limit on the number of reviews a user is allowed to post per update. Either 1 or 2 should be the limit. There's only one active review per update and I understand that but if someone is reposting their update several times, it's probably not for a positive reason unless the reviewer misunderstood something. If that limit is 1, then the reviewer can repost their review once an update is posted by the resource author if it was a misunderstanding.

Personally, I'm annoyed by an absolutely toxic child that reposts the same review 4+ times after being deleted by staff each time, ensuring that it's at the top of the reviews when reposting it. Also, requiring me to have to retype a response each time.

I'd love to hear if this is something that affects others as well or any similar stories.

Edit: I did Intend for this to be one review per update but one review per resource does solve some issues as well.

Are you referring to a hard limit on the active number of reviews a user can place on a resource, or a hard limit on the total number of reviews a user can place on a resource, even if their previous ones have been deleted?

Currently, users are only allowed to submit a single active review per resource they download/purchase. This isn't a hard limit, but a limit imposed by our policies, so if you see multiple active reviews by the same user on the same resource, please report them and the violating ones will be removed.

I meant this one but this suggestion mostly comes out of me being annoyed by a toxic child that continues to repost his review twice a day after it gets removed by staff several times. Not so much the artificial boosting being my concern but I suppose this suggestion can help that issue as well.

This idea is cool but I would rather have the user prohibited to review a 5-star review again if they already made on.

At the moment we aren't planning to do any more development for our site until we can migrate to XF2 since we'll have to rewrite everything then. Perhaps once we move to XF2 and have fixed all the bugs that come with that and have more time for some new development we can work on this, but for the moment this isn't something that we can justify the development for.
