So here's the thing. I know HTML. I know CSS. I am taking a web-authoring class in school.I have no freaking idea on how to practice. I have already gone through a few template and change them around, easy-peasy stuff. But I want to code my own website from the ground up. I started out with Bootstrap, downloaded an already completed website that uses Bootstrap as well, then I started coding the HTML for my website, I am able to get through the Head, Title, scripts and small itsy bitsy stuff. As soon as I get to the Nav bar, I have no freaking idea where to start. I don't know how to use Bootstrap and where to find what elements are already implemented in it. So if anyone would be so kind to help me clarify for me a few things. The main thing that screws me is the CSS. I learned HTML and CSS about a year ago but never got around to trying to code from the ground up. I cant ask for help in class because they are only changing a few lines of code and that's it. Much help would be appreciated, I think I added a few reputable coders on Skype already, if you can help, please leave your skype below. Mostly looking to code with Bootstrap. Thanks!

When I first started, I Google things that I did not understand. The key is practice. The more you practice the better you get. Also, if you are having trouble with Bootstrap, look at their documentation to get a better idea on how the coding works. Hope this helps! :)

I know how to make websites from the ground up, but only fairly simplistic ones. I can edit templates all day, but I'd rather make something that I can really call my own. As it seems that we are close to each other's skill level could it be possible we maybe advance together? It's up to you, but I wouldn't mind working with someone who has similar interests and skill level as I do.

If you're looking to learn HTML and CSS you could try the following (Only suggestions):

- Youtube tutorials
- Codecademy (Free site to learn to code)
- Treehouse (Monthly membership, but try their 30 day free trial first)
- Look on google if you're stuck in certain areas

Personally I wouldn't work with bootstrap but that's just me..

liked your post because i hate such bots/people that copy and paste useless piece of text.. blake jones himself has a very bad portfolio in both performance and usability manners.
I feel the exact same, and thanks for the like. It was my first xD
