Yes, for my next project i'm going to be using xenForo and dropping enjin.

Highly suggest you don't.

You'll have to face with updating it, spam bots, crashes, etc. Good luck anyways.

Updating it, only is yearly, around $150, while enjin for the plan i need is $400+ added up.

As for spam bots, i have email confirmation, as for crashes we run on a stable machine and my SYS admin monitoring it.

I runs forums just fine, never crashed once and stopforumbots or what ever its called caught the bots. If you know what you are doing its not hard

Sounds like you don't know what you're doing I use an ingame registration system, but as long as you're not using reCAPTCHA you shouldn't have to deal with any forum spam.

Updating it isn't that hard, simply update the XenForo version, then the theme or addons that may have broken. Never had to deal with crashes, make sure that you're running it on a stable machine and you should be able to read a MySQL error fine.
