the semi section, almost near to objectively, is full of shit. a % of this i feel is down to some people really not knowing what a semi is, and being new to selling accounts--for example, a couple threads like this one and multiple others with absurdly high prices and bins have had them moved from OG, then to Semi, only to be not sold entirely because people getting absolutely abused with people screaming (myself included, due to sheer frustration) "this isn't og/semi/variant here".

it's annoying because if the market wasn't plagued, it'll be a lot easier/better to sell in the section without being dicked on by random anime accs

so! i suggest before someone sells a semi, maybe if it's their first time selling semis/ogs, have a prompt as to what classes AS a semi or an og (and a link to an appraisal section/link to dedicated appraisers*), as listed in the wiki or better definitions
WHAT IS AN "OG ACCOUNT"?
An OG account is a rare account that has a name such as a verb/ a noun/place/animal etc. This makes the account value go up. These accounts aren't modified like most, meaning that they don't have "xx", numbers, or a suffix/prefix added to the original word.
WHAT IS A "SEMI OG ACCOUNT"?
"Semi-OG" accounts are OG accounts but with an added prefix or suffix, such as "Legends" or "Legendary".
WHAT IS A "CAPE ACCOUNT"?
Cape accounts are Minecraft accounts with a special cape from the yearly hosted Minecraft event Minecon, which makes it special. This account can either have a Minecon 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, or 2016 cape.

*the appraisal section is horrid, and needs to be reworked genuinely and enforced properly. like realistic prices and actual appraisals. if it's clear someone is shit posting, then it needs to be removed to avoid people thinking their shit is worth more than it actually is. if there was a tag/selected group of appraisers onsite that were actually trusted for their prices, that would make the section 10x better on who to trust for prices

example of what tags would look like:

if this gets accepted w the tags, some ppl to throw it to would be User for sure and some others i cant think of rn. they run the appraisal section among the ppl who shit in it. not gonna suggest myself but shameless promo hmu mick

some dumb semi posts, literally, i don't even need to link these but here's just an example of the shit that goes in there--these ones need to be deleted on god

creates a CLEAR line between who is shit posting and who isn't if this was actually in place, so some capping idiots can start catching warning points!

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

Since the time that this suggestion was made, we have assigned a staff member to monitor the account sales forums to ensure that accounts in each forum are where they belong, and I feel like this has resolved a lot of the issues. It isn't a perfect solution, but it's as good as we can reasonably do without creating a massively complex voting system with weighting associated with it.

Just because an account is worth $20 to an "appraiser", it doesn't mean that we should force the account owner to sell it for that much because they may personally value the account much more than that, and so may buyers.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion.
