Make FramePictures invisible

There's apparently a way to make frame pictures invisible involving placing a map inside it, but I can't figure it out.

Any tips?

Isnt there a plugin for this?

Yeah, it's called FramePicture. Problem is the item frame will still show ip behind the picture, and on some servers they've managed to find a way to hide the actual item frame.
