Basically, title.

Make the option to post threads in the currency conversion forum only available to those who have premium and/or have reputation. Essentially like how it was with the loans and investments forum.

This would throw alot of scammers off the way as they usually create brand new accounts, offer very low rates and exit within moments.

This would also make it so the forum has members less likely to scam out.

Just my thoughts, would genuinely make the forum safer.

LMK :)

literally no point. people with high rep exit too and are more likely to exit larger amounts. Making a section of the forum pay to use is dumb. I could have my account be 5 years old and not have a rank. why should I not have access?

Heres an issue you guys aren't really considering. Lets say this gets implemented and for the sake of the argument it actually does achieve its purpose in preventing scams. If we look back a year or two ago, something like this was implemented for the investment/loans section. This sent a precedent that its okay to continue to limit this section so they continued to bring up more and more ideas. Now this went so far for Mick to ban the entire section of the forum even though its useful (the people who wanted it gone even said it was useful, but that they didn't need it anymore so they are okay with banning it). Point being, sure this suggestion might stop spam, but its setting a dangerous precedent and currency might become the new loans forum in that it gets banned. I hope it doesn't, but it is setting it up to happen.

If the currency conversion does get removed, it won't be because it was limited to upgraded members only. And that's not why the loans section was removed either and loans banned.

I think your right tin that I don't think this will be the driving force to a removal. At the same time though, this is the question that got brought up first when limitations came in and these questions got brought up, and more limitations came up and so forth. The loan section brought in a rep added component, and then after that people weren't satisfied and they moved on to wanting it removed. I'm just pointing out the trend that happened and am trying to prevent history from repeating itself as I don't want two forums that I used to use on a regular basis get removed.

I think you'll find there are people who wanted it removed from the beginning, and not as a consequence of increased limits when they didn't work.

As a crypto seller, I'd love see this forum section regulated as to have less competition. Bring on this suggestion please Kappa

Firstly: crypto section will not be removed. Pretty much every section on this site is relying on that section since most people deal with crypto these day (yes, you can go elsewhere and get crypto but why not use mcms exchangers, if you can, and support both the site and the users at the same time?), so that not a problem.

I do not agree with having to pay to post there, but I do think it would help to put some requirements in place at least. Everytime I see a new member join the site and post their exchange in that section, having no rep or vouches and selling at stupid low fees AND claiming they will not go first or use MM, it instantly puts me in a DWC standing with that person. As many users have mentioned above, its your own fault for blindly looking at what you CAN MAKE instead of what you CAN LOOSE.

Bottom line is: what you know, how much you've experienced and knowing how the system works, if you havent aquired this i suggest you do not sell to every damned person that slides in your DM lmao
