Why does my minecraft chat go away when a someone says something in chat?

It could be because the messages are pretty old (prior to the newest one) or because you've done something to your settings.

No, once the message is typed, it disappears right away.

Is this on every server?

Yep. Right now it's not doing it, but sometimes it just starts happening.

Does this happen only on a specific server?
Are you Using a texturepack?

What version? I'm playing pixelmon, so 1.7.10.

Are you Using a texturepack? Sometimes, doesn't make a difference tho.

Since you're playing pixelmon, is it only a problem in modded client or also in vanilla?

modded I believe.

If it's only a problem on modded, it may be part of the mod somehow, or it may be the mod messed up
