This will be the end of all scam reports wondering who sent what and when.
The suggestion is that all negociation happens in a 1 on 1 conversation (Like shoutout box but private) and once you have come to an agreement both users put in their item and agree (Like steam).
Here's how it will work;
There will be many options of what you can do, upload files (plugins), send account credit (A MCM currency which can be converted back to paypal at any time) and of course a 'other' option which would be for accounts and capes ect.
Before any trade takes place you will need to press the accept button on the trade, the whole purpose of this is that MCM scam resolvers can download the plugin and check if it did indeed contain a rat or backdoor as the buyer may have claimed.

If you have any suggestions that should be added to this feel free to comment them down below!

The thing about a system like this is that it doesn't make it any more difficult to scam with. For example with exchanging a plugin, how do you know that the plugin you are receiving won't be stolen from somewhere? How do you know that the build you are receiving was even built by the person? How do you know that the transaction ID you're given for an account is even the real ID? This system would most definitely cut down on the number of scams, but not to a degree that would make it worth being properly developed for several thousand dollars. A viable option for this would be to have a bot on the site that acts like a middleman, and all deals done in a particular format are checked by the staff each time which may be a pain as it could take several days for a deal to be completed with both parties receiving their money and product. Just a thought.

(Or in the spoiler below is the Justis version of this)

I had this idea planned and ready to be created within 3 months of last year. Would be nice to see MCM introducing this.

Also Mick to check the plugin is actually legit they should need to upload a few lines of the code and when uploading the file it can check all the classes to see if that line of code is within the plugin.

That may be a decent solution for that, but how to we test the tid and that you really built it? We'd need real humans doing things.

I agree with all points made here although no matter what you do, you are never going to be 100% scam free unless you use real human beings to check the trade and this still will have loop holes.

Hopefully this is implemented to reduce scams, possibly if the trade has a value > $50 selected premium and supremes can check the trade contents to gain reputation + earn an award with something to do with dealing with trades.

:/ Anyone who knows anything about plugins could easily decompile the jar before uploading, and read the source for a nice set of lines.
The only people this would stop is completely incompetent human beings that don't know how to use google.
E.g. Mick. ;)

I agree, the only way around this is to have it inspected by a human. This may be a reputable member for smaller trades although for bigger trades staff members are a lot reliable.

Its a great concept, but like many of those, it's unlikely to work in practice. Steam's trading system works because all the content you can trade was made by them in the first place, so they can automatically verify them (excepting maybe workshop content, but that can't actually traded as far as I know).

The only way this could work the same way is if there was a way to check the files of every server and to run a check the ownership of all accounts at once. You don't need me to tell you that's not going to happen.

Yeah, I get where you're coming from. I had this occur when I was planning everything.
