Hello potential CakeHosting customers,
I have recently taken out a 1GB server with CakeSG and I must say the server was extremely smooth and had no errors on the hosting side of things. I will be covering some main features that we all look for in hosting
How stable is the server?
The server, in my eyes, was extremely stable for a 1GB server with 41 plugins running simultaneously. If you are looking for a personal server for you and friends (lower plugin numbers & less intensive plugins) then definitely go with the lower gigabyte packages as these will definitely suit your needs.
However, if you are looking to host a public server then I would definitely recommend around 4gb Anyway back to the point. The server crashed only once and that was due to turning a bunch of air blocks and floating blocks into torches (oops ). This would obviously not be an issue with a higher RAM server as the CPU is perfect for this sort of stuff.
What differentiates CakeHosting from the competitors?
CakeHosting offers a really solid 1 to 1 support as CakeSG is the manager and support assistant. Unlike most low cost hosts the amount of RAM allocated to the server at a given time is generally less than you paid for. But with CakeHosting there is none of that hassle, you get all the ideals of a premium service for a lower cost per gb than budget hosting! Dedicated IPs come at an amazingly low cost compared to pretty much every other You will gain full FTP access which can be accessed via the multicraft web FTP or a client-side FTP like Filezilla.
In addition to the use of multicraft you have the ability to create a mySQL database through the Multicraft client. This is very beneficial to a wide variety of plugins that either require or run smoother with the use of a mySQL database. Contrary to a lot of server hosts, you actually have the ability to change the slot size to whatever amount you want! That's right! Any slot size!
Custom Jars at first do not appear within your multicraft jar selection. This is due to only the simple/commonly used ones being added. However, CakeSG was extremely supportive and kind when I asked about the use of custom jars. As long as you give him the details of the jar I am sure he will be more than happy to upload it for you
CakeSG and CakeHosting are part of the mcm community meaning they are more than likely to offer round the clock support rather than you having to wait days for a support ticket to be answered.
The following screenshots show the RAM, TPS, Plugin amount and the range of jars readily available to you. The TPS on the screenshot was not as good as it could have been but I can assure you it went up after a little
Is CakeSG professional and willing?
My opinion of CakeSG is a positive one. He is professional when talking business and he certainly knows how to still have a good time with the community He is definitely a very supportive character. I was very pleased that he offered to keep my server files for the future for when I return to CakeHosting. Now most hosts would make you download your own files or transfer them to store them for safe keeping. This is extremely convenient for return customers.
Conclusion
I can definitely vouch for CakeHosting and advise any potential customers to get those servers up and running with CakeSG. CakeHosting gives you what you pay for and more with stability, performance and a kind host Don't miss out on this opportunity to get your slice of his dedicated server to run your servers off. Now I have had experience of private hosting and renting out extra dedicated server space offered by someone. I must say compared to my last private host, CakeSG certainly knows what he is doing and he is very supportive and confident in his services.
