Monthly events

The recent UHC event got lots of positive feedback and was generally an amazing event.

I wouldnt mind making hosted in game events a monthly activity. Maybe switch up the gamemode sometimes.

Not weekly because less people would have time to show up for every single one plus it would get oversaturated like MCMonday did

Mick said that he's thinking of having the next in around 3 months, just because he doesn't want it to be too often so it still feels special for people. On top of that, it took a lot of custom development apparently, which I can see not happening monthly.

Indeed. One reason I don't want to do monthly events is not necessarily the custom development as much as it is all of the combined staff that the UHC event has taken for me and the rest of the staff team to establish the event and setup the server. It's a lot of commitment to decide to set up an event each month which takes several hours to do.

Another reason why I feel like monthly events may not be the best idea is that if we do them too regularly they won't be special anymore and won't have as much hype or excitement. Just like with our charity fundraisers, the more time that we have between them the more people are willing to take part and I think that is a good thing. Rather than sticking to a particular schedule for events, I would rather we have them more irregularly so that there isn't pressure to release an event we feel isn't ready to be released.

I'd love to know what you think of this too, since I really want to involve the community since these events really are for us all to have fun in

We held a second UHC event last month and it went quite well again, but I think doing them irregularly works out better to ensure we get enough people joining in and it remains as a special thing.

I think that even every 3 months is too regular. Honestly events will probably end up happening in the future when I'm releasing a new suggestion and figure that it isn't existing/doesn't add enough so seems boring. Maybe one or two a year is a good amount.
