Hey there, so back in late late summer, around mid august, i bought a gaming laptop, the reason why i bought a laptop is because me and my family travel A LOT, and buying a desktop is not only inneficient but also risky interms of it breaking.

Obviously since it was a laptop, it was much more expensive than a pc, the same spec in a pc would have been around 500 or 400 cheaper.

So I bought my laptop for 1.3k euros, it is the
ASUS TUF FX505DV

Of course when i look back on it now it is way cheaper

Anyways, here are the specs:
512gb ssd
16gb ram ddr4
rtx 2060
amd r7-3750H

I mainly play fortnite, but my issue is, this laptop should be easily getting 120fps right? In fact it should be getting 200+ i believe, my settings are all low except view distance, even my resolution is 1600x900 and yet most times i get 90 fps or 100 in cities and such.

This wouldn't bother as it is still smooth but the monitor on the pc is 120hz, and 90 fps with 120hz monitor doesn't work.

What bothers me most is that this shit cost me legit so fucking much in my terms at least, and it can't even perform like it should.

I have a second monitor, always connected, and when i first got the pc the game was hella good with fps, but with software installation it got worse, like with my old pc.

I currently have 195gb free on here.

Any tips to make my pc perform like it should
*btw i have not done anything to this pc, such as updating or anything, i have been playing on it since taking it out of the box but have not touched anything, it is pretty much stock*

I don't think you'll be getting 200 fps in cities on a gaming laptop. Even 100 fps in a city isn't that bad. Fortnite isn't the most optimized game either. You should make sure it's not overheating and underclocking itself. You should also make sure it's fully updated and that it's running in a performance mode while plugged in and not trying to save battery by limiting itself.
