My server is dieing, Why???

So,


I've had my server for over a year and the playercount is going down hill fast, I've asked players what they want and none of them know, They said its fine... I've looked at stuff to add but we have hit a dead end and i don't know where to go,

The server has 6 months left of its paid hosting and it would be sad to see it all end.


2-3 Months ago we were hitting 80-120 players,

We are now hitting 2-50,

The server has been up for a year and it got reset 3-4 months ago.


I've also gone around other servers look at what they do, They basically do the same as us but we have more unique stuff, Like slimefun, portalguns, lifts........

I Don't know what to do, We even tried buying advertising and it just made the servers playercount worse...

If you noticed, a reset tends to encourage more players to join hence why there were more players in the same time frame. Why the players don't stay can depend on a lot of factors, mostly the server type. I.e If you got raided on a random factions server and have nothing, then you may want to leave, same apply for survival servers and being greifed on there.

Um try to get some youtubers and interact with the players so they can have fun and add like events. The events you can add are like pvp tourney, dp, and etc.

Your playerbase can be dieing from the following:

lack of interest

Better servers to play on

Not enough advertisement

no special deals sales or voting offers available
