I've bought slots on each of these:
  • MinecraftServers.org
  • Minecraft-Server-List.com
  • Minecraft-MP.com
MinecraftServers.org & Minecraft-Server-List.com

With these two server list sites you need either number 1 or number 2 slot, the rest are not worth the same price per hour as you would pay for the #1 and #2 slots.

You'll get loads of traffic at the #1 & #2 slots, however you still get traffic from the #3 and on but it is significantly less.

The people selling these slots treat the lower slots as if they are equal to the #1 and #2 slot, I'm telling you they are not! I would say they are worth about 50% of the going price (about $30/hour)

You'll definitely get more on weekends and for me I will NOT ever waste my money again on a weekday slot.

Minecraft-MP
Weekday's: only buy during 5-9pm Eastern, don't get suckered into buying it for 24 hours, it's not worth it, you get zero traffic until 4-5pm eastern.

On the weekends, you'll get about 30-40% more traffic throughout the day.

Most of this is just common sense, the people that don't follow it are not going to be successful, as simple as that ;)

It's not just common sense, if you've never advertised with a time slot you would have absolutely no idea what to expect.

You wouldn't know if minecraftservers.org could send you more traffic than minecraft-mp, you just wouldn't know.

I did not expect you to say that the traffic would be so significantly different comparing slots #1-2 to 3,4,5 on .org...

I'm planning to rent out the 5th slot for a few hours as there are no other slotsfor rent atm :/

You get traffic from the lower slots, just don't expect it to be as good as the #1 and #2 slots, sometimes you just have to take what's available. (just whatever you do, don't buy minecraft-mp during the non-peak hours that I mentioned)[DOUBLEPOST=1446353831,1446352868][/DOUBLEPOST]

here's an example, on a Thursday night I had a minecraftservers.org slot #5 and got 55 new players over 2 hours. for the #1/2 slots it would have been 2-3x that much.

I've also had multiple slots on .org and MCSL and can confirm this is true.

Was planning to make a thread about it (In fact, I wrote one up), however it doesn't really stop people from trying anyways.

I question for those who know stuff about slots Jesse KeithSt0ne lets say I rent a slot and get hm 40 new logins. What's the chance of any of them donating or staying ?
Because it's all chance, no real way of guessing. I'd give you a random educated guess, but even that isn't worthy to go by.

Doesn't matter what slot you get. If you have a good server, your server will do good throughout the sponsorship period, and most likely those players will stay, that's if you have a good server.

I rented fifth slot for .org, and it did very well and I'm very happy with the results. A lot of players have stayed and I've already almost made back all my money back. I'd say around 90%.

That is not true. It is not "common sense". It comes from experience, which you have exerienced before.
