Need help fixing domain.

So i need help setting up my domain i thought i did it correctly but it does not seem to be working.

my provider is namecheap

im trying to connect my main domain to my server website and then have a subdomain for my server. such as mc.maindomain.xyz

i got the mc.maindomain.xyz setup and it shows my server in the mc server list but when i try to connect to the server it just says unknown host and then if i try to connect straight after and press it again it connects i have set the priority to 0 and weight to 0 also?

And also my main domain maindomain.xyz will now not connect to the website and just says server dns not found even though it worked before i did the sub domain.

Help please.

I had the same issue. In my case, I setup a bungeecord before I bought a dedicated 25565 ip. So the domain wasn't working. Just went to the bungee servers config and changed the port to 25565.

my bungee is on a regular minecraft hosting site. my ip and port are random so i cant change it to 25565.

Well you can't get a domain then. U need to buy a dedicated ip / port from them

Setup a RANDOM A-Record that redirects to your domain.
Then create an SRV record that redirects to the A-Record above that you'll name mc.yourdomain.xyz, or play.whatever.xyz on the port that your server is running on.
Then use the SRV to connect to your domain.

Oh yeah, you could do something like that lol. Well that's how you do it right here ^^^^

No just use an SRV record.
That took me like two fucking seconds to find. Use google it is our friend.

Right i setup the mc.mydomain.com and it connects to my mc server fine oki but how do i get the maindomain.xyz to connect to my website/fourms.
