Hello,
My name is Kurtey and we are developing an upcoming factions network. It will consist of two servers temporarily. Right now we are in a huge need for developers and I understand that this is a paid position however our finances at the moment due to the excessive host and purchase of plugins limited us to be unable to do so. We are asking for some volunteer work in order to improve our server to the best possible way.

Current host: (Temporary) (HabuPvP)
  • Ram: 32 gb ram
  • Current Processor: E3-1240v3
  • Host: Hosted in Buffalo, New York (US East)
  • Storage: 2 TB of HDD
Current plugins:
  • 52 Plugins and still adding
Any developer who joins us will receive:
  • 5-10% of the servers profits in the beginning and will later on be payed normally as an average developer. This payment will be going on for one to two weeks until the "official release". This is guaranteed and once we get a donation you will receive that percentage. However since it does range from 5-10% it depends on the amount you put and also the work you have done.

Agreement:
  • Once you have received the title of a "developer" you are obligated to not grief the server and you will not instantly receive FTP file access for security reasons. You will be given the plugins however so that you config them outside of the FTP in order to test them and make sure they are secure without any "keyloggers", "forceop" or any type of modifications that have been input in the "jar" or "Plugin" you might say. You are allowed to use and keep the folders for later on but please refrain from selling them since that would break the agreement. However once the server closes you are allowed to "resell" if given permission from an owner.
  • Being active for two to four hours a day is all we ask for and a constant moderation in case any "bugs" occur or "dupe problems" that might occur and need to be patched instantly.
Requirements (Coding):
  • Java
  • Ability to code
  • Ability to configure
Requirements (Media):
  • Telegram
  • Skype (if possible)
  • Twitter

Plugins to develop:
  • Simple plugins such as factions, Cannons etc.
  • Some harder plugins might be asked to be edited however that will be after you receive your first payment and including FTP file access.
  • A harder project will be brought to us like enabling 1.7.10 to co-operate with the other versions including the current plugins that we have under our possession.
To contract me:
  • Message me on mc-market for more details.
Kind regards,
Kurtey

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

You're kidding, right?
That was an accident. Thanks for pointing it out. My friends send me the "requirements" therefore did not check them over. Truly sorry for the inconvenience.

He never mentioned Skript anywhere unless he just updated the thread.

Thread has been updated due to the mistake. Will not lie about including it. No point doing so.

To be honest, this looks fine, except for the part where the devs don't get paid until release, and then they only get 5 - 10 % of donations + potential real pay. I've said it before, I'll say it again: Developers don't like to work on things "for pay" unless they are actually guaranteed money. If your server doesn't hit it out big, and by the fact that you currently don't have enough money to pay the developers, it's obvious that it hasn't yet, then the developer has no guarantee that this won't turn into another failed server, and they'll be out whatever amount of time they've spent working on it. Unless you can guarantee pay (and not just "it's guaranteed once we start making money", because that's not guaranteed at all), then this is a risk for the developer, and they'd be better off to take a position where they will get paid from the start.
