Need staffing advice

Hello!

So I have a small towny server that I would like to grow. Currently it is supporting itself, but I want to be clear at most it pulls in $50 a month. However I am working on a new website and a lot of new features. With my abilities alone, I hope to make that a monthly average. I need a server administrator that is experienced and can staff the server while I am offline. I currently have a full time job so I put in about 5 hours a day. Now I would like to pay a good staff member, however at the moment, the $50 a mont just won't allow that. Would it be unfair to offer a % of donations for a basically full time position?
The server is very custom and not like every other cookie cutter towny out there. Thank you in advance for your feedback good or bad.

I have recently left a server that I was a part of for over 11 months, in that time I was able to fullfill as an Admin for 9 out of the 11 months. They were not paying me anything and it was completely fine, If you would like some tips or advice for a staff team add me on skype @
