not quite true, Ryzen's CPUs have less individual thread power. to get the same individual thread power. As such, they're not as suitable for high-end gaming. For budget, they're great, since for overall performance they cost way less, but if you want a high-end gaming build, an intel CPU is still usually the best shot. If you need to do rendering or similar multi-thread processing, however, a ryzen is a no-brainer.Yes, you really should get the Ryzen. Intel has had a monopoly for so long and Ryzen's IPC is barely worse than the Intel processor's while having double the cores.

That said, I'm glad they got back up to scratch to the point where it's a choice again. I hope they can get their graphics cards to become proper competition again as well.
