Personal Introduction
Without further a-do, My name is Dominoose, or Dom if you'd prefer! I have cumulative experience staffing on Minecraft servers for over 2 years, and have been exposed to various unhealthy server practices that I seek to rectify with One8. I have dealt with situations ranging from sexual abuse to staff corruption, so I base my server practices on the lessons i've learned and the endeavors that have succeeded. I am a fairly sensitive person, and sometimes take what others say to heart, but my goal as I grow to become an adult, is to better manage those sensitivities.
Server Introduction/Methodology
With most contemporary prison servers having a focus on the grind, One8 attempts to serve as a hub where players can feel relaxed, secure, and entertained. I created One8 with the premise of forming a friendly, welcoming community, not as a business to make capital, or as a means of bribing players to stay (there is not much wrong with that, unless it starts to affect the person and/or others). One8 started as a project on January 19th of this year, and with hardships ranging from the first spawn being corrupted, to accidentally deleting server files, resulting in setbacks with progress, I am happy to say that as of March 28th, One8 is currently in full swing with Season 1.
Features
- All donations will be used towards the server, never for personal gain.
- Moon crest currency, which presents players with the option to earn seasonal perks/ranks without donating
- Charms, items that allow players to complete tasks (mining, opening crates, getting lucky with enchants) for charms which can be used to prestige
- Builds constructed by the owner, with personal attachment and meaning
- Custom enchantments; similar enchantments to modern prison servers but with differences
- And more...
