They're errored chunks and I tried removing them last night with MCEdit but for some reason that's not going to work and now my spawn is errored.

Check if you are using 1.8.7. If its lower, there is some sign hack, that causes chunk errors... that makes everyone crash. If its that, use w/e to remove all signs in a big ass region

Guys, it's errored chunks. Not the sign glitch. My server's on 1.8.7. The world isn't custom made, it was generated in 1.8.
Eh, by any chance your host is Beastnode? When I used them, every now and then, chunk errors appeared, that cause huge lagspikes. I tried MCEdit, tried every possible plugin, nothing worked. Map reset was the only solution =( . I believe it was Beastnode, cuz nowhere else I had this issue. Furthermore, I noticed that with small letters on their Plan page there was something like : Chunk errors are not caused by us.
Fixed, staff may close this if they want.
