And I was getting that message a while ago, but after hitting 'Remind me later' enough it's stopped coming up (I've never been close to the IRS requirements anyways)

If you bail on the account, you're still at a very high risk of this coming back to you in a few months.

I would put the money in your bank, ask your dad to help ya out, get the necessary paperwork, and pay the fees when they are due during tax season.
Period.

If you don't, you risk having a very bad experience.
If your an adult (18+), you could be audit'd, which is where they access every money related account you own, and figure out where every dollar has come in, and out, for the past like 5yrs.

If you're not an adult, and still live at home as a minor with your parents, and you don't pay, then your parents can become involved and also get into trouble for it. For example if you make $20,000 this year from MC, and spend it all, and not pay for any taxes, then they'll just simply bill your parents.
