Haven't been doxed. Have been DDoS'd but usually it would last like 10 seconds. However, I have experienced a null route before and I had to get a new router. Haven't been scammed. Was just booted for exactly one hour earlier today. (Started at 9:43pm my time, ended at 10:43pm)

I hope whoever did it enjoyed themselves

But yeah, I don't get these types of people. I don't see how doxing/DDoSing/etc an individual benefits you in any way whatsoever.

how to deal with this...
Get router logs. Get dedicated server ip thats hitting you. report to hosting company (illegal to ddos, and huge liability) get the servers shut down for abuse. Booter goes out of business

Obviously booters will use spoofed machines.

You would be surprised how many people don't know how to spoof there DNS. Also most hosting companies don't allow spoofing

The reason people are so mean on the internet because they have a low self esteem, have problems in real life or are depressed. Since everyone puts them down in the real world, and they are shy/not confident enough to step up.

I see this on my server every day, out of 50 people online there is always 1 jerk who spams people, swears and doesn't do anything other than breaking the rules. There are the smarter players who just ignore him, because that's all he wants, some attention, and then there are the kids who get into an argument with him/her and that's when shit hits the fan. Just..

I completely agree with you, however, the sad thing is that we should not have to do this. I understand that the market is based on supply and demand. There could always be a supply of DDOS protection, the sad thing is that the demand for DDOS protection should not be that high. It's kind of sad that it's a thing, but as people have said, it's the internet, people will do things like that just to piss you off.
