Hi! My name is Michael (Mikey), I do a lot of Illustrations for server logo's, gaming avatars, YouTube banners and display pictures etc.

I have also done work professionally for local clients involving 3D camera tracking, motion graphics and some 3D animation. (I am capable of doing these tasks through MAC-only software, as well as using Windows.)

I do not have a lot of time on my hands due to having multiple tasks to complete each day. I also spend days on end away from home.
So I would like to have a bit of help finding clients. I'm happy to pay 20% of my earnings to the manager. 30% if the task involves motion graphics, tracking etc.

What is the usual rate? From my experience This job is only worth 20% as it only involves the manager to discover a client or two, it's not a task worth anything near 50% as the manager does not do any of the labor work.

20% is perfectly fine. I am an artist myself and finding clients isn't hard, so DON'T pay a lot to your manager. Some guy offered to be manager for me for 5% but I was like meh.

LOL'ed at this. Think to yourself:
The artist does 99% of the work the client paid for. The manager sends previews and works out prices with the potential clients.
The artist spends hours of his/her time. The manager spends 30 minutes at most.
