Hi,
I'm looking for someone to install pterodactyl on my ovh vps. If someone could do this for a vouch I'd be very appreciative but I am willing to pay a little bit if necessary.
Thanks

If it is an OpenVZ VPS, Ptero won't work, well thats what the docs say at least.
It can sometimes work on OpenVZ. Pterodactyl panel its self is fine on OpenVZ however the Pterodactyl daemon uses a program called docker to contain each server. The Kernal of most OpenVZ providers doesn't have the features required for docker to function, since docker won't work, pterodactyl can't work either. With KVM, Dedicated etc you can install your own kernal which is compatible with docker, but with OpenVZ you can't. You're stuck with the one your hosting provider uses. Which is usually an older one that doesn't support docker. However some providers using OpenVZ 7 do indeed have a Kernal that supports docker, therefore pterodactyl can be installed on those. But its best to avoid OpenVZ for this, since only a small percentage will work. Just incase anyone is interested as to why it won't work.

That shouldn't be the issue in this case though. I've just checked my OVH VPS and it seems they use KVM for virtualization, which is compatible with docker.
