I won a featured bid on minecraft-server-list .com and the ad has been up for about an hour and a half now and zero visitors so far. Back when I got an ad on there about 3 years ago I got tons of people to my server.

Has the traffic died down significantly from minecraft server list sites?

Minecraft is slowly dying, and now players are more geared towards 1.18 singleplayer survival or playing with their friends or playing hypixel.

They still have the same traffic for months according to several traffic analytic sites. Maybe your server / ad is for a saturated gamemode or simply not good enough or not standing out enough

I wouldn't say it died down. Give it some time an hour and a half isn't long enough. Give it a few days and you'll probably see players start rolling in.

I strongly disagree with you saying Minecraft is slowly dying. It's continued it's growth since it was first released. Although, I do agree that more people are inclined to play SMPs with their friends or join Hypixel.

the reason I was asking is because when I advertised on the same server list site a few years ago i was getting 30-50 player an hour joining (24 hours in and I've only had 2 from MSL)

That specific site could be dying down (although someone above said it was same amount of traffic) but I definitely wouldn't say Minecraft died. From someone who has bought ads on those kind of sites before I personally wouldn't recommend paying for it as there's more efficient ways, I had more luck free advertising on Reddit than those featured server lists.

has nothing to do with the site dying, just because you got players once doesn't mean you're gonna get again as the site isn't going to have the same people with same interests everyday.

It might have been the time where people weren't interested in what you were hosting.

btw had no intention of being rude (only if I was rude)
