Question about DNS

So I bought a domain and I'm trying to route it to my minecraft server. However, it's not working. Is there anything obvious I'm doing wrong?

The boxes you can't completely see say _minecraft and bisecthosting.com.

Anyway, if you any answers to this thanks.

Make an A record that points to the server IP called play. Then change bisecthosting.com to just play.

Then the IP to connect to your server will be play.your.domain

Yeah, not working yet but hopefully it does.

Christopher is right it does take time for that to apply. If you can, and change your DNS setting alot, then i would recommend seting up cloudflare, and using that. Changes take affect almost right away.
