Hope this doesn't come as a shock to you mods, but please edit or completely remove this rule.

"1.10 Do not post content intended to mislead, lure, or shock users."

I mean like, why can't I post something that might shock someone?
I find it SHOCKING that people bid more than $20 on a MC account, should I report these bids because they are SHOCKING?

Oh and btw, only made this suggestion because I saw a thread about someone who got warning points for saying someone lost their something when they were 5. Couldn't find a suggestion about this even though most people that replied to said thread said to make a suggestion. I'm sincerely sorry if I made a duplicate suggestion. ):

And no, I don't really find it shocking that people bid more than $20 for a MC account... Shocking right? (;

Yes, shocking could go under that. But shocking can also go on bright flashing lights, graphic content, or otherwise things that would normally trigger things such as a seizure. There's no benefit to having an ability to post these types of contents.

You can't actually be serious haha.

And mislead/lure should be fairly obvious why it stays.

I believe the reason they’re wanting the shocking part of the rule removed is because people have actually gotten warning points for posting shocking content. Content that has absolutely nothing to do with potentially triggering epilepsy.

If that’s the case then I agree, it should be modified/removed. Everything else should remain unchanged as misleading users is wrong.

I think the "shocking" part could use some clarification as to what it means by "shocking" content.

Justis what do you think about us trying to reword that rule to remove the word 'Shocking' or clarifying what it means? I don't really know what we classify as shocking either I don't think.

I'm pretty sure the primary complaint on this rule is that "shocking" is entirely opinion. As OP stated in original thread, "I find it SHOCKING that people bid more than $20 on a MC account" yet other users would casually throw down $200 for an OG so I'm sure $20 isnt shocking to them
Basically at this point it's not up to the user who's clicking a link to determine if it's shocking content or not. It's up to the moderator looking at the case. I think the rule should be better clarified, maybe as a 1.10.1 rule just to make it clear what's allowed and what's not.

We've reworded rule 1.10 to replace the word "shock" to "startle" to be more clear of what it actually means. Basically it just means you can't post screamers and stuff like that.

Accepted, thanks for the suggestion!
