I strongly believe that your reaction count should be removed from under your name. Now, leave your rage till the end. I want you to read this all the way to the end because I do bring up some good points.
Alright, a reaction isn't something you should be proud of. In fact, I find it quite funny when people make threads bragging about a certain milestone they hit with these reactions.
First, I'd like to start by defining what a reaction is. A reaction is not a reputation point contrary to popular belief. A reaction is rather a crunched up version of a message someone would of otherwise wrote. Instead of have seen someone writing out, "I agree with this suggestion Alex, please remove the reaction counts" you would have seen the agree reaction come into play.
Second, Reactions cause confusion with many new members. I've invited over 20 people onto to the forums through skype communication and friends at school. They all happen to think that little green number means you're trusted. When, in fact, we covered already that it's not.
Third, Do you really care how many people reacted to someone else's posts? I mean like we covered it's just away to avoid low quality posts such as "I agree" or "I disagree".
Now after these three very valid reasons I listed hope you click that agree button. I know many people will disagree because it's something they like to see go up. They use it as a number to signify trust. I guess people just don't like change even if it's for the better. I hope the right decisions are made.
