I think that you should not be able to buy a sticky for the investments/loans section. I, as an investor wouldn't want to see my investment go towards a thread sticky, I'd rather it go to something that will get me a return.

If your investment is worth it, then no need to sticky :) People will discuss it and it should stay at the top. There is also 'Up Thread'

considering most investments count in the hundreds, while thread stickying costs $7.50 per week and may go down in the future, I see no reason to remove the option.

If you don't wish to see your investment go towards stickying, simply tell the person hosting the thread you will only invest if they dont use the money to make it a sticky. If they dont agree, dont invest.

I think your reason for not allowing the sticky to be purchased is invalid. If you believe that the those seeking investment shouldn't buy stickies, then don't invest in those projects. Just because you don't think they should purchase them as an investor, doesn't mean we (MC-Market) shouldn't allow the purchase of them. If there's demand, why shouldn't we allow it?

I see your point.
